- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I'm an author and I stepped inside in the name of research. All of my characters are named after rocks so that's what I was there to mine. Ideas. The nice fellow running the shop didn't pressure me to buy anything and was more than enthusiastic to show me his rocks and teach me some geology. He even whipped out his pocket knife and scraped it against some soap stone to show me how soft soap stone is! The Rock Shop was one of my favorite places to visit as a kid (he keeps a few wares for children on hand, such as pet rock with googly eyes), as an adult I have a heart full of gratitude as I prepare the next novel to send to the publisher.January 28, 2017by catnip nelehjr
